"Portrait Study" charcoal

I am starting back into portraits with my students. Right now we are studying the skull and muscle structure. I found a photo that really showed allot of contrast. I thought that the charcoal could accentuate those values of light and dark. I have really appreciated all the comments people make. Please feel free to comment and critique. It is a boost to know that I other people are seeing this besides myself.
